Port Forwarding
For security reasons, we highly recommend changing the default port values for HTTP, Server and RTSP. These can be changed under the Port tab of the Basic Network Settings.
Dynamic DNS (DDNS)
- Click on Settings and navigate to Basic Network Settings, then DDNS.
- Click Enable DDNS, then choose a DDNS type from the drop-down list. We recommend WirepathDDNS.
- Enter the name you’d like to appear before wirepathdns.com in the Domain field. This creates a personalized server address, which is shown in Device URL.
- Summary
- LumaLink is our streamlined point-to-point (P2P) remote access service that allows you and your customers to remotely access their Luma system remotely. This is our most secure method of remote access. Dynamic DNS (DDNS) and port forwarding is also available, but less secure.

Port Forwarding
Port forwarding also allows remote access of the Luma system, but is far less secure. These settings are entered in your network's router, typically in a menu called Port Forwarding or Applications and Gaming. Refer to your router manual for help.
