Record Playback
Channels
This area shows the recordings being played. To play a recording, drag a camera from the resource area to the playback window, or double-click a channel to play its feed or to search for files to play.
If you select a channel, the following pop-up tools appear.

Asynchronous playback
Click the scissors icon to enter editing status, then click on a recording in the timeline to select the start and end time, then click the download icon to save the file.
Alternatively, right-click on a recording and select Time to set a new start time for the file.
Timeline
This is a graphic representation of what sorts of recordings were captured by which cameras across which times. Each different color stands for a different activity. For example, the yellow bar stands for recording triggered by motion detection, the green bar stands for video detection (video loss, scene change, or blur, e.g.), etc.
When you hover over the timeline, icons for zooming in, zooming out, and resetting the scale to one 24-hour day appear in the lower right corner of the timeline.
Click and drag on the hour markers at the top of the timeline to pan the timeline right and left.
Resource Area
In the resource area, you select the devices for which you want to see data. When you drag them into the channels window, they populate the various channels.
Time and event search area
This has two tabs: Calendar and By Event.
In the Calendar tab, click a date to see all recordings for the selected channels for that day.
In the By Event tab, manually enter the start and finish dates and times. Additionally, select which types of recordings you want shown.
Click Search to display relevant events on the timeline.
By Time
This displays files by their thumbnail.
At the top, select the device(s) that you wish included in the search. The Search bar at the top can help you find devices quickly.
At the bottom, select the source and edit the start and stop dates and times.
Click Search, and all files that meet those criteria display in the large pane.
Select one of the files and click Play (in the lower right corner of the window) to open the playback window. The file plays automatically.
Double-click the image to open the Backup on PC window.
By Event
Here you can search for specific event types even if you don't know what exact time they occurred.
At the top, select the device(s) that you wish included in the search. The Search bar at the top can help you find devices quickly.
At the bottom, select the source and edit the start and stop dates and times.
Use the checkboxes to select the types of events you wish to filter for.
Click Search, and all files that meet those criteria display in the large pane. If you wish to further filter the results, use the search tool at the top right of the pane.
Select one of the files and click Play (in the lower right corner of the window) to open the playback window. The file plays automatically.
Backup on PC
This lets you create backups of specific files in addition to the archives that your system creates.
At the top, select the device(s) that you wish included in the search. The Search bar at the top can help you find devices quickly.
The bottom has two tabs: Calendar and By Event.

In the By Event tab, manually enter the start and finish dates and times. Additionally, select which types of recordings you want shown.
Click Search, and all files that meet those criteria display in the large pane.
Backup on PC: This saves the files to the location designated in the Local Configuration interface. Click the Backup Path button to jump there.
Backup on NVR/IPC: This saves the files either to a USB storage device that is present in the USB port of the NVR, or to an SD card inserted in a camera.
Backup Path: This button takes you to the Local Configuration interface.
Search Picture
This lets you search and review snapshots triggered by alarm events like motion detection, sensor triggers, etc.
At the top, select the device(s) that you wish included in the search. The Search bar at the top can help you find devices quickly.
At the bottom, select the source and edit the start and stop dates and times.
Click Search, and all files that meet those criteria display in the large pane.
Click on an image to enlarge it. Click it again to return it to its original size.
Selected any images desired and click the Download button to export those images to your system.
